BT recognises Recruiter article in 2010 awards shortlist

Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke has been shortlisted along with journalists from The Times, New Scientist and other UK titles for the prestigious BT Information Security Journalism Awards 2010.

Doke was recognised for a news analysis, ‘Preventing the contact tug of war’, that was published in Recruiter earlier this year. The piece, which concerned the ownership of contacts on sites such as LinkedIn, is competing in the Best Generic Security Feature of the Year category.

Ray Stanton, executive global head business continuity, security and governance, BT, said, “The quality of the entries was higher than ever this year. When judging the entries, the judges couldn’t help but notice the move to more factual-based stories focused on innovation and foresight.”

The awards, now in their fourth year, will be presented in October.  They are sponsored by BT Global Services.
