Broadbean Technology will roll out China as a job posting destination for clients over the next few months as it continues to drive its service offering around the world.

Managing director Dan Martin told Recruiter that Broadbean has reached agreement with “all the key job boards” in China to deliver job ads on behalf of both agency and corporate clients. “I don’t think we have any meetings now where China isn’t on the agenda,” Martin said.

The company will not open an office in China but will service the country from other offices. However, Martin said Broadbean had hired a Chinese language speaker to work with the boards there to explain the offering and its benefits. “We are bringing global, international business to the boards,” Martin said. “It’s bringing them clients.”

Elsewhere on the international front, Broadbean has launched a one-man office in Frankfurt. Germany is “an interesting area for us”, Martin said. “There’s very little multi-posting competition.” He went on to point out that Germany was “relatively underserved” by recruitment agencies, which make up most of Broadbean’s traditional client base, and the corporate in-house model was prevalent. Recruitment technology such as Broadbean can offer the in-house recruiters, who may have other job duties, considerable time savings.

Severin Wilson, former MD for CareerBuilder, Germany, is Broadbean’s representative in the new office. According to Wilson’s LinkedIn profile, he is acting as Broadbean’s special adviser in “preparing and executing a DACH [Germany, Austrian and Swiss] market entry”. Martin said that while Austria and Switzerland offered future market expansion opportunities for Broadbean, Germany would be Wilson’s priority.
