Brits make the best recruiters, according to the international development director of construction recruiter Hill McGlynn.

Peter Marston told Recruiter that Brit recruiters tend "to be a bit more creative" in generating ideas to attract talent and are more driven, very 'sales-y' and target driven.

Marston admitted it was a generalisation and that there were exceptions, but he said New Zealanders, Australians and South Africans were "not as aggressive or as proactive as British recruiters can be".

He was speaking after Hill McGlynn announced it was opening a new office in Calgary, Canada.
