GCS today announces its best ever half-year financial results with average turnover increased to £14.54 million.

Gross profit for the UK business has grown by an impressive 35.1% compared to the same period in 2006/07. The contract business has shown the greatest increase of 43.9% and permanent business achieved a healthy 14.7% rise, putting it in the same bracket as the industry¹s top performing companies. This has resulted in a climb of nine places from 40 to 31 in the Recruitment International Top 100.

European business has also remained steady for GCS with the French and the Dutch businesses also seeing an increase of 3.83 per cent.

A key element to GCS' success has been the reorganisation of the management team: Kevin Logan as business operations manager; Paul Winchester is now head of sales and Grahame Winman as sales operations manager.

Speaking about the interim results, GCS¹ director, Chris Bartlett said, "I am delighted and congratulate the management team's success on their shift in focus over the last year."

GCS has a new office opening in Birmingham in early 2008 and more offices are planned in the south west, north of England and also international offices over the next three to five years.
