The British National Party is "clutching at straws" by targeting areas with large concentrations of Polish workers during the recent local government elections, one recruiter has said.
Andrew Abraham, managing director of Hull-based agency Staff Finders UK, which recruits Polish workers in the industrial and technical sectors, told Recruiter that they were a necessity because they were "doing the jobs local people didn't want to do".
The BNP claims that migrant workers are taking jobs meant for British people.
Abraham, however, said the opposite was true. "I could give you 100 clients who say they can't recruit locally."
