Everybody seems to be getting in on the biggest story of recent weeks. None other than City law firm Speechly Bircham has seen fit to comment on the Celebrity Big Brother issue, sending a lengthy screed to Recruiter on the implications of the Jade Goody-Shilpa Shetty row.

Emma Bartlett, an employment solicitor at the firm, says: "The housemates' comments have generated a lively debate over what 'banter' can constitute race discrimination, even though discrimination is not intended."

Whatever next? The possibility of bringing an action for harassment against Trinny and Susannah? We wait with bated breath…
