Best Companies, the employee engagement accreditation scheme, is to launch a job board for its 307 accredited companies.

The job board, which will launch in March, will be free for Best Companies accredited firms, and for companies that entered but did not quite make the grade, but who are working to be better employers.

Best Companies creator Jonathan Austin told Recruiter the job site will allow jobseekers to filter jobs by accreditation star, rating, region or sector.

Meanwhile, Best Companies has announced the businesses which have achieved accreditation in 2008. The list includes 34 recruitment agencies.

Seven recruiters achieved the highest three-star status: Chadwick Nott, Cobalt Recruitment, Hill McGlynn, Jenrick Recruitment, Macdonald & Company, Nicoll Curtin and Pure Recruitment Group.

Nicoll Curtin's managing director Rodney Fraser told Recruiter: "It's great to know what our staff think of the company. We're going to use this accreditation success extensively for promotion. We want to shout it from the rafters — Best Companies is highly recognised, and we're very proud of our achievement."

Two-star winners were EPCGlobal, GCS IT, Hewitson Walker, Jobs@Pertemps, Jobwise, Michael Page International, PFJ, Retail Human Resources, Search Consultancy, Select Appointments and SThree.

One-star winners were: Digby Morgan, Gap Personnel, Huntress Search, Hydrogen Group, Premier Group, Quest Search & Selection, Randstad, Resourcing Solutions, Robert Half International, The SG Group, Westaff (UK), Wynnwith Group, Alexander Mann Solutions, Encore Personnel Services, Mane Contract Services and Marks Sattin.

Every company that goes for the Best Companies accreditation is given a Best Companies Index (BCI) score. This score, on a scale of 1 to 1,000, is offered from employees' responses to 16 key questions. Star status is determined by the BCI score.
