Men believe women are treated better at work, claims a survey by Angel Human Resources.

Male workers believed employers were less open to requests from men for flexible working or taking time off to look after sick children.

But women said men were likely to be promoted quicker and were often paid more for doing the same job.

“In spite of 30 years of equal treatment legislation, attitudes to traditional male and female roles may still be entrenched,” said Janet Crawford, executive chair of Angel.
