Barclays Corporate has redesigned its recruitment scheme and launched a dedicated entry-level recruitment.

Barclays Corporate has redesigned its recruitment scheme and launched a dedicated entry-level recruitment.

The scheme allows graduate and intern-level employees to develop specialist skills and experience-based learning within several critical areas of the business: client coverage, product development, operations, technology, risk management, HR, marketing and corporate communications.

Next year, Barclays Corporate will recruit around 120 employees for its graduate programme, as well as around 50 candidates for its eight-week summer internship scheme. The target candidate pool will be recent graduates with a variety of skill sets and degree disciplines. Successful candidates can develop their skills both domestically and on an international level.

Meanwhile, Barclays Corporate has also launched a website for prospective graduates and interns, providing prospects with an overview of the roles within the bank and offers a wealth of information for individuals to understand what to expect from a career in corporate banking.

Matt Press, head of HR at Barclays Corporate, says: “We’re building a strong graduate programme as we need a pipeline of talent flowing into the organisation to strengthen it and provide the leaders of tomorrow. We’ve recruiting specifically into particular areas which will allow individuals to develop and grow within a business sector.”
