The Resource Group restructures

Aircraft industry recruitment and training specialists The Resource Group says it has restructured its international operations and strengthened its management team to address Europeanwide skills shortages.

A strategic review has led the Worcesterbased operation, which is a major supplier of contract labour to Airbus, to form a new holding company in Switzerland to drive forward its objective of becoming the leading supplier of shortterm and projectbased manpower and associated services to the aviation and aerospace industries.

Based in Zug, Resource Holding AG will head a group of companies which currently supply an average of 1,500 contractors to the industry.

The company anticipates doubling its current revenues to €160m over the next three years through organic growth, improved cost control and the establishing or acquiring of businesses in Germany, France, the Middle East and the Far East.

The development has been backed by a number of key appointments to the board of the UK operation, Resource Group Limited. The new team comprises John Larkin, chairman, Kevin Keegan, operations director and Paul Martin, business services director, with a sales director to be announced shortly. The UK operation has been further strengthened with the appointment of Ian Bissett as operations manager MRO (maintenance, repair & overhaul).
