Newly-formed Ark Home Healthcare has gained backing from private equity partners Ashridge Capital and Core Capital to purchase three local care providers in the South of England.

Care and staffing providers AG Care, Breslin Health & Social Care and Mac Caring, now part of Ark Home Healthcare’s businesses in the domiciliary sector, are “actively looking to recruit and train good care staff”, integration and business development manager Jay Sinclair told Recruiter.

Ark is led by chief executive Mark Lavery, former managing director of provider of domiciliary care and healthcare staffing services Allied Healthcare, and chairman Dr Mike Sinclair, founder of domiciliary care provider Lifetime Corp in the US.

Lavery says: “Our aim is to help the very best local care companies to continue to provide excellent care to those who need it. We will be able to offer job security to care workers in the community and job opportunities for those wishing to join the care profession.”

Ark will be looking to acquire further businesses in the sector over the next few years.
