The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has launched the Recruitment Practice Standard (RPS), an assessment toolkit and qualification.

Created by APSCo with management consultancy Innergy, the web-based assessment hub assesses consultants in six modular categories, randomly picked by the system from a library of questions to ensure that no two examinations are exactly the same.

The three experience-based assessment levels are:

Level 1 – designed for recruiters with up to one year’s experience

Level 2 – for consultants with up to three years’ experience

Level 3 – for those with up to five years’ experience

Successful recruiters will be able to display the RPS initials after their names as proof of their level of knowledge and proficiency, while participating agencies will be able to display the RPS logo on their websites to demonstrate their commitment to staff development.
