Zurich Financial Services Group has appointed Peter J Wright as group head of human resources.

From 21 February, Wright, who joins from AIG in New York, where he was executive vice president and chief HR officer, will be responsible for leading the global HR function.

He succeeds Peter Goerke, who left Zurich in January, and will report to Christian Orator, chief administrative officer. He will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.
