Appointments: RSA bolsters its Singapore team

RSA, the global life sciences executive search and interim management specialist, has appointed Susan Macdonald to managing director of RSA Singapore from 1 August.

RSA, the global life sciences executive search and interim management specialist, has appointed Susan Macdonald to managing director of RSA Singapore from 1 August.

She was previously the firm’s UK general management practice leader, having been part of the RSA team for more than five years since joining as a consultant in 2005.

In 2006 Macdonald was promoted to lead the sales and marketing practice, undertaking global and pan-European executive searches and filling senior level positions for a client base including top 10 global and small- to medium-sized pharmaceutical companies, medical device, orphan drug and generic companies.  

In January 2009, Macdonald was seconded to Shanghai to set up the joint venture between RSA and Foster Partners in China, returning to Europe upon its successful completion.

Joining Macdonald and the Singapore team will be life sciences executive search specialist Virginia Tam. A US graduate with a background in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors, Tam will take up the role of consultant.

Her previous industry experience includes three years with leading Japanese executive search firm Optia Partners KK, where she focused on client development and specialised in delivery to the medical device industry and clinical functions.
