Recruitment giant Randstad has promoted Mark Bull to the new role of chief executive of the UK and the Middle East.

Bull, previously managing director of Randstad Construction, Property and Engineering (CP&E) in the UK, will be responsible for all of Randstad’s operating companies and support functions in the UK and the Middle East.

His role will be to drive forward the company’s strategy and operations in these territories. He reports to executive board member Brian Wilkinson.

Bull stays on as head of CP&E until Owen Goodhead, currently head of CP&E in Australia, assumes the role in July.

Meanwhile, Vaishali Sachdev has been appointed as UK marketing director, succeeding Colin Downing at the start of May. She joins from Randstad Holding in the Netherlands.

A Randstad spokesperson told Recruiter that Brian Wilkinson’s role remains the same. He will continue as Executive Board Member responsible for the UK, Australia and the Pacific, the Middle East and parts of Asia, including India, Malaysia and Singapore.
