Oriel Holdings, a specialist provider of outsourced financial and business services to the recruitment sector, has appointed Brian Sumner to its board as a non-executive director.

Sumner’s background is in invoice finance, which includes time with Alex Lawrie after which he founded Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance. He will be focussed on the firm’s outsourcing business including Oriel Support and Oriel Contractors.

Oriel chief executive, Brian Pursey, says: “This is a key appointment for Oriel as we embark upon the next important phase of our growth plan and I am delighted to be welcoming someone of Brian Sumner’s stature from the invoice finance industry.”
