FAST, a UK authority on software asset management and IT compliance, providing software, education, consulting and managed services, has appointed Matthew Barnes as managing director.

Previously operations director at FAST, Barnes is responsible for heading the team at FAST and managing the overall day-to-day operations for the organisation.

Before joining FAST, Barnes spent 14 years at IRIS Software in various sales executive roles, and was appointed head of business development from 2006-09.
