Appointments: CIPD nominates new president and vice presidents
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) yesterday announced the appointments of three HR big hitters to the non-executive roles of president-elect and vice president.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) yesterday announced the appointments of three HR big hitters to the non-executive roles of president-elect and vice president.
Gill Rider, head of the civil service capability group and head of profession for civil service HR, is the CIPD’s nomination for its next president.
Alex Wilson, group HR director for BT, is the CIPD’s nomination for its next vice president, employee relations, while Stephen Dando, chief human resources officer for Thomson Reuters, is the nomination for its next vice president, international.
Jackie Orme, CIPD chief executive, says: “I am delighted that these three leaders of the profession have agreed to offer their time in support of our work to transform the profession. We’re on a journey to build the capacity and capability necessary for HR to contribute fully to sustainable organisational performance across the public and private sectors, in the UK and on a global level.
