Legal, accountancy and financial services recruiter Rise Professions has appointed Bill Guthrie as its new managing director.

Guthrie joins Rise Professions from HR Consultancy where he was commercial director and is charged with building a finance team within the business.

Guthrie is looking to recruit a number of experienced consultants from both accountancy and finance and HR recruitment backgrounds, along with a number of graduate trainees.

Guthrie says: “We are a well-backed business and we are very serious about rounding off 2009 on a high note and carrying this into 2010.
 
“I am looking forward to adding some new consultants to the excellent team already in place and building further on our past successes.”
