Still time to sign up for REC conference

Recruiters working in IT and Comms have just over five weeks to sign up for the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s third annual sector conference, held in association with Recruiter magazine.

The event will be held at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in Birdcage Walk, London on Thursday 28 February.

Delivering the keynote speech at the conference will be Roger Black MBE, Great Britain’s gold medal winning athlete, who is now a media presenter and motivational speaker.

Other distinguished speakers at the conference will be recruitment guru Mike Walmsley, chairman of Recruitment Training, whose session will be devoted to why the vast majority of big billers are underperforming in their race for growth.

Alison Humphries, chief executive of Amelius Consulting, will convey the essential differences of a business to stay one step ahead in an overcrowded marketplace.

DeeDee Doke), Recruiter magazine’s editor will chair a panel which looks at the client’s perspective on the approach and services recruiters provide, the aim being to help delegates turn their businesses into even more effective agencies.

Chairing the conference will be Jeff Brooks, chairman of the REC’s IT and Comms Group and Primesourcing. He says: "We are thrilled with the initial response we have received to the conference. We look forward to meeting delegates from across the spectrum of IT and Comms recruitment and hearing their views on the current state of the market, and how they believe we can all work towards achieving even higher standards of service within the industry."

The conference runs from 9am to 5pm.
