Adecco temps seek union move _2

Adecco temps working for the British Cattle Movement Service have voted for union recognition from the Public and Commercial Services Union.
Adecco temps working for the British Cattle Movement Service have voted for union recognition from the Public and Commercial Services Union.

Two-thirds of the 574 eligible temps voted in the election and opted unanimously for union recognition.

The workers want the same rights and pay as full-time staff.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) said the vote is unlikely to result in a massive change in the industry.

External relations manager Anne Fairweather told Recruiter: "Most temps are satisfied in their work so there is no incentive for union recognition."
