Recruitment software Actonomy xMP MatchBase has launched a new service which offers a direct connectivity allowing users to extract candidate information and combine it into a single central search and match index.

The firm adds that the link with LinkedIn can be used in a variety of ways, depending on how developers want to combine the different sources into a single search and match environment while using Actonomy xMP.

Filip De Geijter, chief executive of Actonomy, says: “The core of Actonomy’s search and match technology is a huge knowledge base consisting of millions of combined job titles and skills called an ontology.

“By using this unique and powerful platform, search criteria get automatically converted into the correct criteria for the different sources. A recruiter can easily use ‘account manager’ even when is it called ‘sales representative’ in a different source.”
