Former Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett opened specialist recruiter Ab Search's new branch in Pride Park, Derby recently.

Ab Search received funding from the government's Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme for the new office which will create eight new jobs.

Beckett, Labour MP for Derby South, spoke in favour of the scheme when proposals were raised to withdraw it during her time as president of the Board of Trade.
