Anti-ageism rewarded
Wise Employment has been rewarded by the government for its efforts to encourage clients to be more ‘age-friendly’ in its employment practices.
The company has been awarded Employer Champion status by the Age Positive Campaign, a Department for Work & Pensions initiative aimed at tackling age discrimination in the workplace.
“Wise Employment is not only providing a value-added service to clients, but supporting the campaign by encouraging clients to look at candidates of all ages,” said Stephen Timms, minister of state for pensions reform.
Wise Employment achieved the accolade through a number of measures, including training for consultants of the benefits to employers of considering a wide range of ages for any position.
