Capita is best known for activities such as the congestion charge, but also has recruitment businesses and contracts to manage agency supply workers.
Capita Resourcing division works across several industries including social care, housing, finance, HR, IT, procurement and the public sector.
The division recently started a contract to manage agency supply workers of the British Nuclear Group, with a payroll of some £150m over three years, with the option for a further year’s extension. This will result in significant savings for the company.
More than 1,500 agency supplied workers moved to a single service provider on April 1.
Capita Education Resourcing has the largest supply teacher and school support network for schools and nurseries in the UK.
It has 14 offices around the UK, employing 195 staff, and places 2,400 supply teachers on average each day.
