Banking and financial services group UBS has appointed Adrian Shooter as executive director of talent acquisition for its Global Investment Bank.

He was most recently head of resourcing responsible for most of Barclay’s retail and business division. Shooter’s previous experience has come in large multinationals, including pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca and telecommunications company Vodafone.

UBS’s Global Investment Bank has around 15,000 employees across 30 countries, accounting for nearly a quarter of the workforce across UBS as a whole.

Shooter said: "With the challenges of the world economy and the transformational change being undertaken in financial services, this is a great time to be part of the UBS journey."
