Public sector recruitment firm 1st Contact Recruitment has rebranded itself as Tradewind Recruitment with effect from last week.

The name change reflects a shift in the company’s strategy from supplying teaching, medical and social work staff predominantly from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to recruiting candidates from all over the world.

In addition, the company has promoted managing director Mike Kaye (pictured) to the role of chief executive officer. Simon Telfer, who has held senior roles in recruitment firms throughout Australia, the US and the UK, will become Tradewind’s managing director.

Kaye said of the rebrand: “We believe our new identity strongly reflects our long-time goal to become a leading player in the UK’s public sector recruitment market.”
