totaljobs defends internet
Jobsite totaljobs.com has attacked a suggestion from the Association of Technology and Staffing Companies (ATSCo) that recruitment advertising is moving back towards paper products.
At a recent ATSCo meeting, members agreed that paper products were coming back into vogue as employers realised the need to build their brands.
“The web will lose its dominance,” predicted Robert Brighouse, managing director of Reed Business Publications.
But totaljobs.com commercial director Keith Robinson pointed to surveys that showed a long-term fall in newspaper and trade advertising accompanied by dramatic increases in internet advertisements.
“IT jobsites are one of the most mature areas of online recruitment and, as the IT industry becomes more automated, the internet will continue to provide the ideal platform to recruit from,” he said.
