Timesheet fraud warning

New regs could lead to cheating
An IT recruitment trade body has criticised regulations that mean agencies can no longer withhold temps’ pay if they fail to produce a timesheet.
ATSCo fears the rules, which come into effect on 6 April, could lead to an increase in timesheet fraud.
Chief executive Ann Swain said that the trade body will continue to lobby Parliament to get the rules changed.
She added: “Agencies will need to be extra vigilant when checking timesheets in the future and be prepared for additional costs.”
