Global online recruitment company Monster has announced two new appointments following a recent company restructure that formed a new UK and Ireland region.

Alan Townsend (pictured), Ireland country manager for Monster and TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications since 2001, has been appointed regional managing director, while Frances Laing joins the company as regional marketing director for the new area.

“As part of our efforts to simplify and streamline our European organisation, the UK and Ireland is now a new region,” said Andrew Wilkinson, UK chief executive of Monster Worldwide.

“Consequently, we are combining resources and creating a single Monster and a single TMP business across the region for the benefit of our customers.”
