Temps prepare for week’s fun

National Temp Workers Week next week

Recruiters will join together to celebrate the staffing industry’s achievements next week.

National Temporary Workers Week will see agencies up and down the country raising awareness of the contribution temps make to the economy.

After a week of weird and wacky events, the industry’s trade body, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, will finish off the celebrations with its “One in a Million” ceremony, which will name the UK’s best temp.

Scarborough’s Castle Employment Agency will deliver a bun to all temps out on assignments and AES Recruitment in Stoke-on-Trent will host a charity auction.

Tom Hadley, the REC’s head of external relations, said: “This week is a lot of fun and a great opportunity for all agencies to thank and reward their temps.

“It is the responsibility of everyone in the industry to play their part and make sure these people are more visible and their achievements recognised.”
