ISRM scheme for fitness industry
A new information service has launched to help budding sports professionals looking to break into the industry.
The Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM) has set up a ‘train -to-win’ scheme to provide information and guidance to help people break into the sports industry and gain qualifications while working.
The ISRM’s message is that while not everyone may become a Kelly Holmes or a David Beckham, there are opportunities for people to be fitness experts, coaches or physios. It estimates there are nearly 500,000 people already working in the UK’s sport and recreation industry. Its train-to-win initiative can be accessed via its website at www.isrm.co.uk.
