Spherion sells Asian branch
The US-based recruitment agency Spherion has completed the sale of its Asia-Pacific division to Ross Human Directions, a recruitment and HR management company.
Spherion’s US parent firm has been selling off the company’s non-US operations following a decision to focus on the lucrative US market.
Ross Human Directions paid $31m (£17.1m) for the parts of the Asia-Pacific operation.
The technology and outsourcing side of the business had been on the market for several months before being snapped up.
Spherion’s education business in the Asia-Pacific region has already been sold to another Australian company, EasyCall.
The firm has already announced plans to pull out of the UK by selling its two UK businesses, Crone Corkill and financial recruiter FSS, as well as various divisions operating under the Spherion name.
