Snow prompts job search

Recruitment agency reveals an increase in enquiries from people snowed in
Financial recruiter Andrew Farr Associates has reported record numbers of applications and enquiries in recent days as the snow forced accountants to stay at home.
Many accountants have been using the time to update their CV, make contact with recruitment consultants and search for vacancies.
Managing director Andy Farr says: “Many finance professionals are unable to work from home, therefore when snowed in they can take advantage of being free during a working day.”
Farr says the recent bonus payment and the forthcoming publication of examination results has caused finance professionals to seriously look at their options. The bad weather makes people feel worse, and those who feel disillusioned or uninspired seek a change, Farr added.
