Most recruiters have recovered from the fall-out in the markets in early March. Financial recruiter Michael Page was one of the strongest performers over the fortnight and the shares are now near a record high again. The company is due to update the market on its first quarter performance on 4 April.

Capita has reached yet another record high. The company continues to win contracts, such as a 10-year deal with Southampton City Council, worth £290m. Capita will deliver a range of services including HR, payroll and procurement.

Hat Pin, FDM Group and Quantica, which have all reported results in recent days (see www.recruiter.co.uk), all gained over the fortnight.
