Survey reveals PAs are demoralised
Secretaries and personal assistants are feeling overlooked and under-utilised, according to a survey by online recruitment website Jobsite.
More than 60% of respondents felt they weren’t appreciated at work, with 42% saying they spent at least 30 minutes a day doing work that should be done by their boss.
More than 45% said they spent most of their time answering the phone.
Secretaries and PAs don’t want to be fobbed off by traditional gifts either, with 68% of respondents saying they chose money and praise over flowers.
