Xansa reports 23% rise in pre-tax profit

Xansa has reported a 23% increase in pre-tax profit to £16.4m for the year ended 30 April 2007, compared with £13.3m in 2006.

It reported a 6% rise in revenue to £379.7m in 2007, compared with £357.3m in the previous year.

Xansa said underlying operating margin increased to 6.6% in the year, compared to 6.5% in 2006.
It reported continued growth of public sector, with revenues increasing 56% in the year.

Bill Alexander, chairman and interim chief executive, says: "Our share of public sector business has continued to grow substantially and we have yet again retained our 100% success rate of contract renewals. During the year we have also expanded our service offering into areas such as human resource outsourcing and have won new business with organisations including the BBC, Threshers, FSA and Transport for London.”

The company also announced that Andrew Buxton, deputy chairman and senior independent director, will retire from the board on 13 September, coinciding with our annual general meeting.
