Recruiters 'slow to embrace internet'
30 August 2012

General manager of Luton-based Absolute Resourcing Control Technologies (ARC), Piran Littleton, told Recruiter: "While I wouldn't exactly say recruiters were slow [to embrace the internet], they might look back and say, 'we could have done things a bit better'."
Littleton did say, however, that recruiters had improved their use of the worldwide web, although the next step for firms such as his was to develop more sophisticated technology.
Littleton set up Ninedots Resourcing, a sales and marketing specialist, before being approached by entrepreneur Tom Harris — whose family part-owns the Butlins holiday empire — to run ARC late last year.
The firm's main focus is the Absolute Resourcing software, which enables recruiters to CV-match suitable candidates across a variety of job-boards. It has generated £4.45m of pipeline business since being launched last month.
The company currently employs 14 people and Littleton hopes to have another nine in place by June.
