Recruiters are top workplaces
Four recruitment agencies have been ranked in the Top 50 Workplaces in the UK, which is collated by the Great Place to Work Institute, and published in the Financial Times.
Surrey-based Stopgap was the highest recruiter in the list, ranked sixth. In 21st place was Huxley Associates, the information technology, finance and engineering specialist. Huxley managing Director Gary Elden said: “It was a great achievement to be featured in the list in 2004. This 3rd successive placement is down to the fact that we have not rested on our laurels.”
The other recruiters to feature were IT specialist Progressive (25) and public sector staffing firm Morgan Hunt (31).
Their peformance compared well with well-known high street names such as Starbucks Coffee Company UK (34) and Marks & Spencer Group (47).
Other well-known names to feature included: Lehman Brothers (42), Black & Decker (49), Admiral Group (8), KPMG (20), Virgin Mobile (22) and Goldman Sachs International (23).
