The recruitment industry’s trade body has announced it plans to launch an annual conference for its IT and Communications division.

The REC’s first IT conference will take place on 28 September at the Park Lane Sheraton hotel in London.

Speakers will include the government’s e-envoy, Andrew Pinder, business strategist, Professor Richard Scase and Richard Barfield, chief executive of IT recruiter Spring. Senior IT directors from large organisations will also make presentations.

There will also be workshops for delegates and the opportunity to take part in “Question Time” style panel discussions.
