Quantica sells training division for £12m
Quantica has sold its training division to Carter & Carter for £12m cash. It will now concentrate on recruitment.
Les Lawson, chairman and chief executive, commented: “The disposal of Quantica Training, which follows the disposal of Quantica Healthcare announced in October, represents a further step in Quantica’s transition to become a recruitment company which is wholly focused on professional services sectors.”
Quantica Training, which employs about 125 staff, comprises specialist businesses that provide government funded, work-based learning programmes which result in individuals achieving nationally recognised qualifications as part of the government’s national education and training targets.
Quantica was expanding its training division as recently as July, when it bought Interactive Training Limited for £600,000 (Recruiter, 12 July).
The deal is one of three acquisitions announced by Carter & Carter today. The combined worth is £23.4m.
