Survey reveals opinions
A growing number of public sector workers are critical of the services they provide.
According to research by the Work Foundation 17% of public sector workers were critical of their jobs, an increase in 10% compared with a survey conducted in February.
Just 7% of workers in the private sector were critical of the services they provided.
Decreased morale was a major problem, with 27% identifying this as a hindrance to their performance.
David Coats, associate director of policy at The Work Foundation, said: “These are worrying findings for the government, reflecting declining trust in the public sector as an employer.”
