Positivity over Olympic jobs

Hopes of ong-term employment legacy
With just weeks to go before the location for the 2012 Olympics is announced, construction company Consensus has found that one in two British adults think London hosting the Olympics will bring long-term jobs benefits.
The firm surveyed 1,000 people across the UK on the potential employment prospects of securing the Games, with the International Olympic Committee set to declare which of five cities is the winner on 6 July.
The jobs in question aren’t just for ice-cream sellers, either. Consensus MD Martin Tyrrell said: “We’re talking long-term employment in the newly created infrastructure; this could be in construction, premises management, retail and a whole host of other areas.”
