A dispute involving alleged misuse of information is set to be heard in the High Court next week.
Richard Pomerenke, managing director of Social Workline, is suing Action First, part of Public Recruitment Group (PRG). He claims that the firm used information on agency workers provided by someone who once worked for him and then joined Action First.
Pomerenke founded London-based Social Workline, an agency that provides social workers, in 1984.
The claim relates to the period between December 2002 and February 2003.
PRG company secretary Katharine Spedding told Recruiter the firm is contesting the claim but declined to comment further.
PRG, based in Sheffield , recently reported turnover of £11.5m in its social work division for the first half of the year. This was up 7% on the same period a year ago.
