Pertemps prepares for the future

Restructure will lead to directors' retirement

The independent recruitment firm Pertemps is to restructure in a move that will eventually lead to a rebranding and the retirement of its board of directors.

Pertemps will be reorganised into five units to simplify the group’s structure and create an entrepreneurial spirit.

It paves the way for the eventual retirement of the company’s board of directors, which is led by chairman and founder Tim Watts.

The company is already in the process of rebranding its offices as Jobs@Pertemps and the Pertemps name will eventually be dropped altogether, leaving just the ‘Jobs@’ prefix as the firm’s brand.

Other future innovations could include the firm shifting to a Manpower-style arrangement of employing temps directly on zero-hour contracts. The new structure will consist of the five holding companies covering the five areas of Watts’s recruitment empire.
