Parc Recruitment beat off stiff competition from Hays Construction & Property to extend the preferred supplier contract with Taylor Woodrow for a further three years.

Parc regained the contract after an eight-month re-tender and will now focus on developing technology to improve the recruitment process further by improving management information, getting quicker feedback to agencies and achieving a seamless service.

Parc is reportedly involved in the Office of Fair Trading's ongoing investigation into allegations of price fixing in the sector. However, a spokesperson for Taylor Woodrow told Recruiter this wasn't a consideration in the decision. She said: "The investigation is not relevant to our re-tendering, which was conducted on normal commercial criteria. Although we understand that Parc has co-operated with OFT enquiries, nowhere has it been indicated that the company itself is being investigated for price fixing."
