Michael Page, the listed professional recruitment agency, has announced impressive half-year results.

Turnover, profits and dividends have all increased compared with the same period last year.

In the six months to 30 June, turnover was £250.4m, compared with £204.6m last year, with pre-tax profits increasing from £17m to £30.5m. Dividends increased from 1.25p per share to 1.5p per share.

Chief executive Terry Benson hailed an “outstanding” set of results. He said: “We have seen excellent growth across all regions of our business and were very encouraged by the performance of our continental European business, particularly the strengthening growth in France.”
