London’s success in winning the bid for the Olympics in 2012 will create thousands of jobs in the leisure industry.

Any major sporting event causes a surge in people seeking jobs in health and leisure, claimed health and fitness job site, Leisurejobs.com.

The site predicted more than 150,000 jobs in many different areas including hospitality, building and leisure

Marc Moreso, managing director of Leisurejobs.com said: “On the day the bid was announced our job board was swamped with over 4,500 enquiries about jobs relating to the Olympics.”
