A link between old computer equipment, job satisfaction and sick leave is discovered by a new survey
There is a clear link between outdated computer equipment, low job satisfaction and increased sick leave, according to research from technology firm ViewSonic.
The survey found that 35% of office workers are using computers and monitors that are five years old or more. Among users of old equipment, 11% took more than 10 days’ sick leave, compared with 8% in the workforce generally. More than 75% said they could be more productive, while a quarter said they were dissatisfied with their role.
