Recruiters face staffing crisis
A third of recruiters do not intend to be working in the industry in three years’ time.
That is the conclusion of a survey from training firm RecruitmentTraining.co.uk.
Of those who have been in recruitment for less than two years, 12% plan to leave within a year, while 37% plan to stay for one to three years. Only 20% envisage their recruitment career lasting more than five years, while less than 10% think they will still be recruiting in more than 10 years’ time.
Bearing in mind the high staff turnover in most recruitment firms, RecruitmentTraining.co.uk chairman and video presenter Mike Walmsley said: “These statistics are quite stark. Hopefully they will get recruitment bosses thinking about how to retain their staff.”
